1.Watch Planes Land/Take-Off at Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport

Ron Gardner Aircraft Observation Area is located on the southwest corner of Perimeter Road and Southwest 39th Street and is open from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

The Ron Gardner Aircraft Observation Area is located on the west side of the airport's northern runway, just around the corner from the Broward Animal Shelter. Visitors can drive around Perimeter Road along I-95 to the viewing area, pull down their windows, and listen to traffic controllers communicate to pilots over the radio using the big speakers located on the site.

2. Picnic in Broward County Park

Pay no entry fee to Broward County parks on non-holidays. Most parks have picnic tables, as well as free use of charcoal grills, playgrounds, and hiking or walking routes. Bring your dog, but keep it on a leash. Hours can be found on the webpages of individual parks.

3.Go Geocaching

Geocaching is the sport of finding tiny goodies (trinkets) concealed by other geocachers using a Global Positioning System (GPS) (sometimes a function on cell phones as well). There are almost 4,100 geocaches in Fort Lauderdale alone, with thousands more scattered throughout the area. Simply search for a geocache in your neighborhood on a website, go discover it, and then fill out the log page inside the cache to notify the owner that you've arrived. It's completely free and great fun for the whole family.

4. Visit the Plantation History Museum

What began as a small collection within the Plantation Town Hall is now a museum with local artifacts, police and fire department relics, and visiting exhibits throughout the year. The museum is located next to the Botanical Garden, which is well-known for its butterfly garden.

5.Riding a bicycle

Plan your route using Florida International University's Interactive Bike route Map. You can obtain ideas for new places to visit and decide how much traffic you want to deal with. Wherever you pedal, always wear a helmet.

6.Whiskey Creek can be paddled or waded through.

The mangrove-lined Whiskey Creek winds north towards John U. Lloyd State Park on the west side of Dania Beach. (Please keep in mind that if you enter the park's waters, you must pay a John Lloyd entry fee.) The waterway is only about a mile long, but it's a great area to kayak, canoe, or even wade through the shallows near the coast. Fiddler crabs, fish, and a variety of birds can be seen. Wear water shoes to protect your feet from sharp shells and rocks in the water.

7.Stroll through Young Circle Arts Park.

In 2000, the Downtown Hollywood Young Circle had a $5 million makeover, including a new concert stage, playground, fountains, statues, and gardens. This park is ideal for an evening stroll, a picnic, and listening to a free music. There is also an on-site workshop where you may observe glassblowers at work. 8.Take in the Hollywood West Concert with Your Friends and Family

Amphitheater Boulevard Heights is located at 6770 Garfield Street in Hollywood, Florida.

Hours: Every month on the second Saturday night (excluding December and July), 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., weather permitting.

The Boulevard Heights Amphitheater in West Hollywood hosts the free performances, which feature a variety of musical styles. Bring a picnic supper, blankets, and chairs.

9. At Mizner Park, you can listen to music.

Mizner Park hosts a number of free concerts for the public. Additionally, concerts that require purchased tickets for guests to enjoy within the amphitheater can be experienced free of charge outside the theater. There is a specific outdoor area for this purpose. Coolers, alcohol, and dogs are not permitted.

10. Under the Stars Dance

Hollywood Beach Theatre is located at 100 Johnson Street in Hollywood, Florida.
